Veterinary Surgeon – Hospital-Based (Internal Medicine & Imaging Focus)

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience to join our friendly and supportive team in a predominantly hospital-based role.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and motivated clinician with a strong interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. The ideal candidate will have significant imaging experience and may already hold, or be working towards, a relevant medical or imaging certificate.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital environment, managing a varied and often complex caseload. This position is well suited to a vet who is confident working cases up independently, while also valuing collaboration with a wider clinical team.

Although primarily based within the hospital, there may be occasional requirements to support other practice sites, so a flexible approach is important.

About You

Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in small animal practice

Strong interest and experience in diagnostic imaging and internal medicine

Medical or imaging certification (or working towards) is desirable

Confident in managing emergency cases

Able to work up complex medical cases independently

Comfortable working in a hospital setting, with flexibility to support other sites

Competent in both routine and more advanced abdominal surgery

A team player with excellent communication skills
